The house is in slight disrepair and reminds you of your childhood home.
The front door opens easily and you step inside.
[[Step into the hallway]]
The kitchen is unusually clean. There are knives on the shelves, a mop in the corner, and a half-open drawer.
[[Open the drawer]]The basement door is locked.
[[Go back|Step into the hallway]] The hallway is slightly dusty and smells of cinnamon.
Your options seem endless.
[[Go to the attic]]
[[Go to the basement]]
[[Go to the kitchen]]
You peer inside the drawer and see a key attached to a note.
[[Read the note]]
[[Take the key]]You make out "To whom it may concern..."
The note disintigrates.
[[Take the key|Take the key]]You take the key and wander back into the hallway.
The kitchen fades away behind you.
Do you go [[down to the basement]] or [[up to the attic]]?The attic door is locked.

A sunrise shines through an oval window, illuminating an empty room.
You look back, and the door behind you seems too small to fit through.
The EndYou unlock the basement door and head down the stairs.
Piles of junk line the walls. There is water on the floor. You can't stay here.
[[Go back|Can't go back]] You climb back up the stairs. The steps rattle as the basement fades away.
The attic door is open.
